Administrative Assistant

This position is responsible for training operators on quality aspects, documenting processes and procedures for new products, working on quality and training issues for the molding area, creating in process inspection plans based on customer requirements, creating certification of compliance forms, providing breaks to operators and working on other duties as required to meet departmental expectations. This position will also be responsible for ensuring that all documentation is filed in the appropriate location. Job Shadowing and Hands on Training would be provided from Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Departments. This person would be trained under our ISO 9001:2000 compliance training program. Must have strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to demonstrate basic math skills and must have above average verbal and written communication skills.

Assistant Production Manager

We are looking for a motivated hard-worker who has leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will have strong math skills and be organized, energetic and safety conscious. Must be able to work with minimal direction and able to work overtime if necessary. Ability to distinguish between colors and hues and ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs. at times is required. Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to multi-task and see beyond the present situation are needed.

Job duties include: monitoring performance of employees, monitoring production and staffing levels of the molding department, molding technician duties, daily audits, and any other duties as required by manager.

Business Development Intern

Track and work with internal and external customers to assure that expectations are being are being met. Work with others to positively solve any challenges that are discovered.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Proactively contact clients and prospects to develop and increase new business via phone, email and internet. (some in-person contact with customers may be necessary)
•Receive and log all incoming Requests for Quote from Five Star Sales group or Representatives. •Download, archive and query part files as required to facilitate RP, Tooling and Molding quotes as well as any secondary operations required by the Customer.
•Network within current clients and prospects to increase share of business awarded
•Update and maintain contact management database •Archive calls, contacts, and touches per week standards set forth by Manager and monthly production goals
•Quote Projects to customers, and understand what is being requested.
•Coordinate scheduling and timing with RP Shop Coordinator on projects before time commitments are given to clients/prospects
•Utilize and understand multiple 2D and 3D software packages to optimize SLA and SLS build set up.
•Evaluate integrity of data received from customers, and recommend changes.
•Maintain required logs to help maintain proper tracking (build, quote, quality, delivery, and in process).
•Know and understand different ways to get data to and from customers (FTP download, Email)
•Keep area clean as spelled out in "Housekeeping Expectations" for area
•Assist customers with process / material selection (know and understand processes / materials available).

Document Control

Successful Candidate will be performing duties for warehouse product flow. Also maintaining and monitoring inventory levels of all material, components, packaging, and finished goods through the production process. Data entry skills required, previous experience in an ERP system preferred. Physical lifting will be required for this position.

Maintenance Technician

The successful candidate must be able to repair and maintain equipment (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, electronic) or coordinate the repair process. Establish and maintain records for preventive and corrective maintenance on major equipment. Build and install accessories to support the manufacture of products. Communicate with manufacturing to establish priorities based on customer expectations. Knowledge of plastics manufacturing strongly preferred. Candidates will have 1 to 3 years of experience in the maintenance field.

Manufacturing Engineer

The successful candidate develops process parameters for new tooling, refine and improve existing processes and generate documentation and monitoring system to assure standards are maintained.  This is someone who can instill both discipline and inspiration in your workforce. Will have the ability to identify problems and address them accordingly; able to work with minimal direction and ability to work overtime if necessary. Working weekends and off shifts is required. Mold Technician

Responsibilities and Duties: The successful candidate will have the ability to set-up, change and maintain 35 ton to 1000 ton injection molding machines and their processes; maintain and monitor the quality of parts being prepared for shipment, determine processing parameters of various tools, have the ability to identify problems and address them accordingly.

Qualifications and Skills: Able to work with minimal direction and ability to work overtime if necessary; 4 to 5 years of set-up experience a plus. Successful candidates will have integrity, a sense of urgency, and a desire to control their own future.

Molding Operator

$2 per hour bonus for off shift! Immediate Openings!

Duties will include the manual operation of injection molding machines, finishing and trimming of parts, basic part inspection, reporting paperwork, housekeeping duties, and any other duties as assigned.  These are entry-level positions and would be an ideal match for a person who is energetic, self-motivated, safety-conscious, has attention to detail, can work with little or no supervision, and is available for overtime if necessary.

Project Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for pro-active management of multiple, concurrent projects which require ongoing, aggressive customer and internal communication, and coordination from start to finish. 

A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  PTC Creo, SOLIDWORKS or similar CAD software experience a plus. 

 

Quality Technician

This person will train operators on quality aspects, document processes and procedures for new products, work on quality and training issues for the molding area, document control, create in process inspection plans based on customer requirements, create certification of compliance forms, and other duties as required to meet departmental expectations.  Qualifications will be 1-year technical college in precision inspection with 2-3 years experience, basic GD&T knowledge (reading and interpreting blueprints), basic SPC knowledge, utilizing and reading of both digital and dial inspection equipment, identify standard quality equipment i.e. gage blocks, plug gages, etc., demonstrate basic math skills, and Surface Plate and Optical Comparator experience.

RP Shop Coordinator

Set-up, break-out and maintain RP equipment (SLA and SLS).  Track and work with internal and external customers to assure that expectations are being are being met.  Work with others to positively solve any challenges that are discovered.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Shop Coordinator for RP Casting Technicians, Finishing Technicians, all Finishers and Painters
  • Accurately schedule and track on time performance for all RP projects
  • Facilitate project launch and scheduling through all areas of RP (Casting, Finishing, Painting, and custom options).
  • Facilitate daily RP production meetings
  • Quote RP Projects to customers, and understand what is being requested.
  • Set up and break out SLS / SLA machines
  • Lead and coordinate RP projects for on time delivery of projects to meet monthly production requirements.  Including scheduling and prioritizing
  • Understand and implement internal preventative maintenance process.
  • Utilize and understand multiple software packages to optimize build set up.
  • Evaluate integrity of data received from customers, and recommend changes.
  • Maintain required logs to help maintain proper tracking (build, quote, quality, delivery, and in process).
  • Retrieve files and communicate expectations to and from customers.
  • Know and understand different ways to get data to and from customers (FTP, E-Mail, Disk, etc.)
  • Schedule and participate in rotating weekend support of equipment up time.

  • Assist customers with process / material selection (know and understand processes / materials available).

Set Up Technician

Shipping/Receiving Material Handler

Successful Candidate will be performing daily shipping and receiving duties for entire manufacturing facility. Maintaining the warehouse flow, also maintaining and monitoring inventory levels of all material, components, packaging, finished goods, product in production. Staff Accountant

Position will primarily focus on Accounting functions. Bookkeeping knowledge & experience required. Understanding of a Bill of Materials, Material Resource Planning and Inventory Flow within an ERP system is a plus.

Must have a skills and knowledge base that are wide ranging as this position will require a variety of administrative activities supporting accounting and manufacturing. Attention to detail and strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

One to three years of prior Administrative experience in a Manufacturing environment is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training

Tool Maker

Five Star Plastics is looking for a person preferably with experience, but not required, in high precision CNC machining, and experience with programming. This person should be self-motivated with a sense of urgency, have good troubleshooting skills and mechanical abilities, and also have the ability to work with minimal direction. The candidate will have a working knowledge of general tool room equipment, the ability to read blueprints, and possess good organizational skills. An associate's degree in the Machine Tooling Techniques program or equivalent experience preferred. Experience or knowledge of injection molds are also a benefit. Candidate will also have the option to enroll in the state registered Mold Making Apprenticeship program paid for by the company.
